【英検準２級】二次試験（面接）用の模擬問題〈その３〉～難易度：やや高め

1.まずは「黙読」をする

試験が始まると、面接官から

“Let’s begin the test. Here is your card.”
「では試験を始めましょう。カードをどうぞ。」

と言われて、カードを渡されます。

Bicycles on Train

In Japan, some trains allow passengers to bring their bikes on the train. While on the train, passengers place their bikes in the rack on the train to protect them from being damaged. By doing so, they reach the destination without worrying about their bikes. It is helpful for people who want to travel with theri bikes.

そして

“Please read the passage siliently for twenty seconds.”
「パッセージを20秒間黙読してください。」

と言われます。

落ち着いて、「二十秒間」黙読しましょう。

2. 次に「音読」をする

20秒の黙読が終わると

“Now, please read it aloud.”

と音読をするように促されます。

音読のポイント

• 「タイトル」を忘れない
• ゆっくり、はっきりと読む
• ピリオドはひと呼吸のサイン
• 文の意味と、文の抑揚・イントネーションは連動する　
• 細かい間違いを気にしすぎない。

以上をおさえながら音読しましょう。

音読が終わると、

“Now, I will ask you five questions.”
「今から５つの質問をします。」

と言われて、いよいよQ&Aに入ります。

3. Q&A「第一問」

“Question 1.

Please look at the passage. How do people reach the destination without worrying about their bikes? “

「パッセージを見てください。どのようにして人々は、自分の自転車を心配することなく目的地に到着しますか？」

第一問は必ずパッセージの中に答えがあります。なので、ここは確実に点を取りましょう。

In Japan, some trains allow passengers to bring their bikes on the train. While on the train, passengers place their bikes in the rack on the train to protect them from being damaged. By doing so, they reach the destination without worrying about their bikes. It is helpful for people who want to travel with theri bikes.

太字の箇所が質問に対する答えが書いてあります。

ただし、質問が、

“How do people ~ ?” と聞いています。

「どうやって～するか？」（手段・方法）

と聞いているので、できれば

“By ~ ing” 「～することによって」と答えられれば

一番良いです。

“By placing their bikes in the rack on the train to protect them from being damaged.”

もしこれが出てこなければ、本文中の該当箇所をそのまま読んでもOKです。

“Passengers place their bikes in the rack on the train to protect them from being damaged.”

3. Q&A「第二問」

続いて第二問目です。

面接官が、

“Please loot at the people in picture A. They are doing different things. Tell me as much as you can about what they are doing.”

と聞きます。

絵の中で

「Picture Aにいる人を見てください。彼らは違うことをしています。彼らが何をしているかできるだけたくさん教えてください。」

と聞かれています。

質問が、

“Tell me as much as you can about what they are doing.” と

現在進行形で聞かれているので、

答えるときも現在進行形で答えましょう。

“An old man is stretching.” または “An old man is doing a stretch.”
（他にも、”An old man is exercizing.” や “An old man in doing an exercize.”）

“A woman is taking a bath.”

“A woman is her smartphone.”または”A woman is playing with her smartphone.”

“A woman is throwing away trash.（または”throwing trash away.”）や、 “A woman is putting trash in a trash can.”

“A girl is getting out of her bed.”

4. Q&A「第三問」

第三問目。

“Please look at the man in Picture B. Please describe the situation.”

「Picture B の男の人を見てください。どんな状況か説明してください。」

と聞かれています。

準二級の第三問では、必ず、

「現在の状況」と「吹き出しの中」との２場面になっています。

上記の問題では、

「横断歩道にこどもがたくさんいる」と
「自転車をかついで運ぼう」の

２場面になっています。

各状況について一文ずつ英文を言うようにしましょう。

“A man can’t cross the street with his bike. So, he is going to take his bike on his shoulder.”
「男の人は、こどもがいるので自転車で横断できません。だから、自転車を肩にかついで渡るつもりです。」

もちろん、
“There are many kids at the crossing. So, he is going to walk across the street.”
のような言い方でも大丈夫です。

答えは「ひとつ」とは限りません。

ここまでが質問カードに関する問題です。

続いて、

“Now, please turn the card over.”

「カードをふせてください」と言われます。

第四問と第五問は、あなたの意見や、あなた自身について聞かれます。

5.Q&A「第四問」

第四問では、

なるべく、

「一般論」で答えましょう。


「一般論」とは、

「より〈多く〉の人が納得できる答え、の事です。」

例題を通して見ていきましょう。

“No. 4
Do you it is OK to take the pets on the train?”
「あなたは、ペットを電車に連れていっても良いと思いますか？」

という質問です。


あなたが、

“Yes.”と答えると、　

面接官が “Please tell me more.”

と更に一文付け加えるように促してきます。　

“Pets are important family members of human beings. Also, most trains have enough space for pets to stay.”

別の例を見てみましょう。

“Pet owners are taking good care of their pets. Also, most trains have enough space for pets to stay.”


もし反対に

“No.”

と答えた場合、

“Why not?”
と聞いてきます。

あなたは、
“Some pet animals cannot stay quiet. Also, some people are allergic to animals such as cats.”

6.Q&A「第五問」

第５問は「あなた自身がどうしたのか？」を答えてください。

“No. 5　
Today, some people choose not to take a train full of people to go to work. Would you like to take a train to go to school or work?”

あなたが
“Yes.”と答えると、

“Please tell me more.”と言われます。

あなたは、

“I like to take a train because I can get to school easily and quickly. Also, when it’s raining or cold outside, trains are very comfortable.”

他にも
“Train tickets are very cheap. So, it is very economical.”

反対に

“No”と答えた場合、

“Why not?” と聞いてきます。

あなたは、

“I don’t like the place with too many people. Also, walking to school is a good exercize for me.”

7. 「試験の終了」

“That’s the end of the test. Can I have a card?”
「これで試験は終わりです。カードを返してもらえますか？」

あなたは、

“Here it is.” と言ってカードを返します。

面接官が、

“Have a nice day.” と言ってくれると思うので

あなたも

“Thank you. You too.” と言って教室を出ましょう。
